Claire is the chief designer at “HudsonSport,” Chicago’s top trendy sportswear brand. After her breakup with NFL star quarterback Marcus was maliciously exposed, she was branded as the “woman who ruined Chicago’s hero” and subjected to online harassment and offline attacks by passionate sports fans across the country, putting her career in jeopardy. Just as the brand’s design director, Evelyn, was closing in on her, attempting to seize the exclusive design credit and control over the “Hudson Tech Fashion Show” she had been preparing for years, Julian—the ruthless heir to a renowned automotive empire—suddenly appeared. Citing his gravely ill grandfather’s urging for him to marry, Julian proposed to Claire. What Claire didn’t know was that this seemingly cold exchange of interests was no coincidence—it was the culmination of Julian’s three-year-long, premeditated secret crush on the woman who had saved his life three years earlier during a fire at an abandoned auto plant. As Marcus attempts to win Claire back and Evelyn engages in workplace bullying by leaking her unpublished tech-fabric design sketches via an anonymous IP address within the studio, Julian completely sheds his gentle facade and mobilizes his vast commercial and legal resources to launch devastating lawsuits against those who have harmed Claire; Meanwhile, bolstered by Julian’s unconditional support and backing, Claire let down her guard. Using studio surveillance footage and industry regulations, she launched a forceful counterattack, publicly exposing Evelyn’s plagiarism and getting her blacklisted from the industry. In the end, Claire successfully led the tech-themed fashion show that took the entire nation by storm, regained control of HudsonSport’s designs, returned to the pinnacle of the industry, and discovered—amidst this carefully orchestrated marriage—that the cold-hearted automotive tycoon had long been deeply in love with her.
