Ella, from a poor family, stumbles into an underground auction to raise money for her mother's surgery. She is nearly sold as a commodity and bought by the mysterious tycoon August for $10 million, forced to become his contract wife. During their forced cohabitation, their initial cold possessiveness and control gradually give way to a genuine emotional bond. However, Ella's ex-boyfriend William, in an attempt to win her back, conspires with the jealous Amanda and their enemy Eric to set a business trap, trying to destroy August's company. To protect August's hard work, Ella painfully tells the lie, "I never loved you," and willingly returns to William's side. Ultimately, after learning the truth, August reconciles with Ella, and together they expose William's conspiracy, leading to the traitors being arrested for crimes such as stealing trade secrets. Through all this, Ella not only preserves her love but also regains her self-respect and a true marriage, transforming from a trampled victim into a cherished wife.
