"Tori Winslow was once the most dazzling heiress on New York’s Upper East Side. Then, overnight, her family’s hotel empire collapsed. Her father was imprisoned for business fraud, her grandmother Cyrus was diagnosed with ALS, her mother died in an accident, and Tori herself became completely deaf in her right ear and severely hearing‑impaired in her left. The high‑society crowd that once revolved around her scattered one by one. Tori fell from the clouds into the mud. Just as news spread across the city that the Winslow Hotel Empire had been forcefully acquired by a mysterious new tycoon, Cade Moran, Tori could no longer afford her next month’s nursing home bills."
