"Lila Marquez, a Latina orphan and a top engineering student at Stanford, was once supported by old Mr. Hale. Before his death, he entrusted her to stay by the side of his grandson, CEO Ethan Hale, as his secret wife. For five years, she endured in silence, helping him purge internal traitors and stabilize his company. Ethan, however, had been framed five years ago, leading to a forced intimate encounter with Lila that bred deep misunderstandings. Convinced that Lila was a gold‑digging schemer, he treated her with extreme coldness and cruelty. After suffering all the injustice and repaying her debt of gratitude, Lila walked away with nothing, resigning from her job, giving up her shares, and completely leaving Ethan’s life. Only after she was gone did Ethan slowly uncover the truth, realizing how thoroughly he had wronged her. He began a long, painful journey to win her back. He eliminated family and business enemies, used his sincere heart to make amends for the hurt he had caused, and eventually resolved every misunderstanding. Their broken marriage transformed into a true, mutual devotion, culminating in a happy ending."
