Five years ago, a bizarre night occurred in Manhattan's penthouse. Iris Gray, an independent designer from a humble background, suffered trauma and amnesia after giving birth to her daughter, who was secretly adopted by an Upper East Side socialite. To help pay for New York's exorbitant rent and student loans, she impulsively married Arthur Thorne, a down-on-his-luck programmer hiding his identity as a Wall Street tycoon. Their cramped bedroom was filled with nightly, intense, passionate encounters. The ruthless socialite, who stole Iris Gray's patents, used her adopted daughter as a prop for red carpet appearances and drove Iris Gray to the brink of despair with a predatory non-compete agreement. When a paternity test revealed the truth, and seeing her daughter's bruised and battered body, Iris Gray was enraged. Arthur Thorne, having completely shed his disguise, vowed to make the entire New York financial world pay for his wife and daughter's misfortune!
