Backpacker Amelia stumbles upon an evil family deep in the American mountains. After being held captive and sexually assaulted for a month, she unexpectedly awakens the ability to read minds and uncovers the betrayal of Laila, the young girl by her side who was working as an undercover agent. In the wilderness, she escapes multiple times from desperate situations, kills her captors, and teams up with fellow victim Emma to fight against organized crime and corrupt police. Though Laila repeatedly switches sides, she ultimately helps Amelia wipe out the criminal organization. In the end, Amelia narrowly escaped with her life, only to discover that her husband, Henry, was the real culprit—he had deliberately lured her into the den of evil to claim a massive life insurance payout.
