A thousand years ago, while on a mission to ambush Ethan, bounty hunter Ava realized that he was not inherently cruel; it was all part of the villain Seraphina’s scheme to seize the Spirit Core. To save Ethan from certain death, Ava reluctantly used a secret bloodline spell to petrify and seal him away. A century later, the two reunite at the altar where Ethan was sealed. Seraphina returned, using a golden box left over from their past lives to attempt to destroy them both. However, the lethal technique Ava had left behind in her previous life was actually a protective pact, which ultimately led to Seraphina suffering a fatal backlash and reaping what she had sown. After the great battle, Ethan, having exhausted his spiritual energy, regressed into a frail silver wolf cub. While tenderly caring for him, Ava discovered she was carrying a new life that would inherit the bloodline of the Ancestor. Finally, Ethan seized the opportunity to shift back into human form. After enduring the conflict of their bloodlines and a century of solitude, the two embraced tightly in the sunlight, beginning an eternal bond that belonged only to them.
