"2026, Chicago. This international metropolis on the shores of Lake Michigan wears a glittering mask—skyscrapers piercing the clouds, the upper class indulging in endless revelry, powerful families controlling the lifelines of politics, business, and the police. But beneath the glamour, rot has set in deep: collusion between officials and businessmen, rampant corruption in the police force, thriving underground arms deals. Justice is trampled underfoot by money and power. The underworld and the establishment share the same city. Order and evil are separated only by a thin veil. Hidden currents surge beneath the surface; danger lurks at every corner. A tragedy of forbidden love, revenge, and sacrifice is about to unfold quietly in this city of sin."
