Ella Voss, a Manhattan heiress, wasted 5 years on Kyle, a fraud who stole her wealth and pretended to be her savior. On the eve of their wedding, she discovers he plans to humiliate her publicly and steal her mansion for his mistress. Heartbroken but unbroken, Ella makes a reckless choice: she marries a random homeless man to get revenge. What she doesn't know is that this "homeless man" is Xavier Hall, the reclusive trillionaire heir—and her real savior from 5 years ago. At the wedding, Ella walks down the aisle in a black dress, destroys Kyle's reputation in front of everyone, and officially marries Xavier. What starts as a contract marriage soon blooms into true love, as they fight side by side against their enemies and uncover the secrets of the past.
