Hanson, the richest man in the capital, spends two hundred million on a birthday celebration for Chloe, a gifted dancer. The public mocks his legal wife, Iris, who is confined to her home with her legs paralyzed. Hanson believes Iris deliberately made Chloe stand in the rain, so he rushes home and cruelly humiliates her. When the loyal maid, May, tries to protect her, Hanson violently throws her out, leading to May’s accidental death. Later, Iris’s father faces a corporate crisis. She begs Hanson for help, but he forces her to kneel before Chloe and apologize.
