The Winston family, a long-established Manhattan dynasty, holds the power of life and death over the Locke family, a rising force on Wall Street. Alice, concealing her identity as the Winston heir, was betrothed to Kevin, the eldest grandson of the Locke family. At the signing dinner for a multi-billion dollar trust fund, Kevin shockingly broke off the engagement with a humiliatingly lowly break-up check, proposing to Alice's personal assistant, Chloe! Kevin attempted to exploit Alice, arrogantly humiliating her into believing she was only fit to be a mistress. This extreme exploitation ignited Alice's fury. She slapped him, tore up the check, put on the Winston family's pinky ring, and took the arm of the dangerous illegitimate son, long exiled by the Locke family. Whoever she marries will become the next king of Wall Street! As for Kevin, are you prepared to go bankrupt?
