To pay the exorbitant bills at the Los Angeles ICU, Lexi signs a breeding contract, becoming the breeding machine for Sebastian, the alpha wolf of the werewolf clan. Initially, Sebastian sees her as prey to vent his anger, but his attitude changes to possessive doting after he discovers she sold him to save her mother. However, on the night she gives birth to the half-wolf cub Jax, the matriarch Eleanor forges an eviction order and throws Lexi across the state line, leading Sebastian to mistakenly believe she abandoned her cub for money. Five years later, Lexi returns to the manor under the guise of a nanny. By day, she endures the mistreatment from Sebastian and his fiancée Victoria, but by night, she becomes his possession, a outlet for his lust and longing. As the misunderstanding is cleared up, Victoria, in league with the elders, seizes power, kidnaps Jax, and forces Lexi to meet him alone. Lexi takes a fatal bullet to save her cub, enraging Sebastian who slaughters the rebels and bites Victoria's throat. In the end, the family of three is reunited. Sebastian abolishes the pure-blood system, and Lexi, despite suffering amnesia due to her injuries, falls in love with her husband and child again, leading to a happy ending.
