Victor, a "gold digger" who rose to prominence entirely under his wife Irene's wing, relied on her for everything from company management to networking. While the couple appeared loving, he secretly met with his secretary, Chloe, during Irene's pregnancy. On her way to their rendezvous, Chloe recognized the oncoming car as Victor's usual vehicle, now carrying "another woman." Enraged, she forcefully stopped the car and, looking down at Irene, declared, "This car is a gift from my husband to you, you gold digger. Be smart and stop bothering him." Irene, for the sake of her unborn child, endured the situation, deciding to rest at a postpartum care center first, then confront Victor, while simultaneously instructing her deputy to fire Chloe immediately.
