After being murdered by her jealous sister, Gwendolyn reawakens and chooses to marry the "man-eating" Wolf King instead of repeating her past. She discovers he is a cursed prince trapped in beast form. Through kindness and courage, she earns his loyalty. Her sister Adela, now married to a dissolute count, grows envious and conspires with the Queen Mother to burn the Wolf King at a royal festival. Gwendolyn refuses to abandon him—their true love's kiss breaks the curse, restores his human form, exposes the Queen Mother's usurpation, and crowns her the rightful queen.
