Bella Hamilton, heiress of a pharmaceutical dynasty, was drugged by her sister Selena and framed for attempted murder. She spent three years in prison, where violence left her right ear deaf. On release, her father and sister tried to sell her into marriage to the Winslow family’s third son—rumored to be wheelchair-bound and disfigured—for a billion-dollar bride price and a Hudson International partnership. To escape, Bella publicly proposed to a seemingly poor stranger, Will. He agreed instantly. She didn’t know he was the very “disabled third son” she was fleeing—and the hidden president of Hudson International. He was also the mysterious man from her one-night stand three years ago. After marriage, Bella storms Hudson International with three patents she developed in prison. She crushes her sister, her ex-fiancé, and every workplace enemy. From “convict” to president’s wife, she rises—until one assistant’s line reveals the truth: the “poor boy” she married is the man everyone begs to meet.
