Elena, having had everything stolen by her sister, who was always the favorite, is then pushed by her family into a substitute marriage to a "poor cowboy" in Montana. She signs the family-severance papers and leaves New York covered in wounds—only to taste the warmth of home for the first time at the Sterling Ranch. It isn't until her sister shows up to humiliate her in-laws that she discovers her quiet, reserved husband Ethan is actually the heir to a six-billion-dollar oil empire. The people who once abandoned her come one after another to kneel and beg forgiveness, but Elena never looks back. She will expose the conspiracy, reclaim her dignity, and build with her own hands a home that no one can take away.
