Five years ago, she was shunned by her own family for her weight, then drugged and framed by her scheming stepsister, the fake socialite. On that hazy, fateful night, she never even caught a glimpse of the man’s face — she left only a single penny as a tip and fled New York that night in utter humiliation. Five years later, she is completely reborn: a sharp, polished career woman, back in Manhattan with her bright, adorable twin boy and girl. By a twist of fate, she lands a job at the city’s top-tier corporation — and catches the eye of the CEO’s mother, who secretly plots to set her up with her son. Yet the cold, brooding CEO only greets her with suspicion and harsh treatment. He has spent five years haunted by the mystery woman from that night, never daring to imagine that the intern he so readily misjudges is both the obsession he has searched everywhere for, and the biological mother of his two children. As the hidden marks of fate unravel layer by layer, this fated romance, five years in the making, is only just beginning.
