By morning, Brennan begs her not to marry Marco. She says yes—and they go straight to the County Clerk's Office to get married. But Marco soon comes looking for his bride, only to discover that Astrid is already Brennan's wife. Then the truth about their seven-year separation comes out: Brennan's mother once offered Astrid ten million dollars to leave him forever.
