Brilliant director Elena Crawford gives up her career, using all her wealth and connections to help her husband Nathaniel Reed found Prism Entertainment. However, she discovers his affair with actress Isla Monroe. Disgusted by the Reed family's mistreatment, Elena swiftly divorces him. Sebastian Pierce, CEO of Constellation Pictures, who has harbored a crush on Elena for a decade, heavily invests in her comeback. After facing harassment at a mall, Elena slaps Savannah Reed. Later, at a launch event, the Reeds and Isla are humiliated upon learning Elena's true status. Exploiting Nathaniel's greed, Sebastian traps him with a hefty penalty contract. He also exposes Isla's casting couch scandal. Meanwhile, Isla accidentally hospitalizes Liam Reed by triggering his pollen allergy, plunging Nathaniel into deeper trouble. Facing bankruptcy, Nathaniel begs Elena to return. Rejected, he smears her at a press conference, but Elena and Sebastian quickly expose his lies. Pushed to the brink, Isla kidnaps Liam and accidentally injures Savannah before being arrested. In the end, the Reed family is ruined. Nathaniel is left working odd jobs to support his children and a bedridden Savannah, while Elena, moved by Sebastian's devotion, finds true love with him.
