Labeled a 'leftover woman', Claire Vance prepares to marry Ian Miller after six years together. At the families' meeting, the Millers mock Mr. Vance and Mrs. Vance's attire, and Mrs. Miller demands a zero bride price while belittling Claire. Furious, Claire breaks up and kicks Ian out. Unfazed, Ian pursues Chloe Jenkins, thinking she's a trust fund baby, but soon realizes she's a gold digger. Hearing of Claire's $300,000 dowry, he assumes she wants him back. Instead, Claire sues Mrs. Miller for defamation and marries Harrison Reid. Ian crashes their wedding, but Harrison humiliates him by revealing a bride price of over $750,000. Ultimately, Ian is left with absolutely nothing as Claire and Harrison live happily ever after.
