Two months after divorcing, Nolan Montgomery finds happiness with his new wife, Elena Rogers. Elena treats his mother and daughter as her own, running a tight ship at home. But their peace is shattered when Nolan's pregnant ex-wife, Monica Sterling, shows up, wreaking havoc on the Montgomery household. Using her pregnancy to move in, Monica bullies Elena, treating them like servants—even Nolan's mother and her own daughter. Nolan pours his money and energy into helping Monica, only for her to attempt fleeing with his cash when he faces a crisis. Fortunately, Elena steps in to save him. Nolan later discovers Monica's baby belongs to Trevor Sullivan. She had cheated before the divorce and only returned to steal Nolan's wealth. In the end, Nolan cuts ties with his ex and lives happily ever after with his beautiful, gentle wife, Elena.
