She is his fated mate, the one and only person destined for him.As Bella faces bullying from Rachel, the gentle advances of Noah, and the moral complications brought on by their blended family, she desperately tries to escape Arthur's control. Yet every attempt only awakens his stronger instincts to possess and protect her. Finally, at the school prom, Arthur tears away his carefully maintained disguise in front of everyone, revealing his wolf-king mark. He marks Bella as his own and declares to the entire school: “She may be my sister, but she is also my one and only fiancée.” From that moment on, the two must face opposition from their family, their school, and society itself, as they struggle to define their relationship between forbidden love and a bond written by fate.
