The small town of Moonridge in the Pacific Northwest is secretly ruled by a werewolf clan. Ava, the eldest daughter of the declining Reed werewolf family, is branded a “useless outcast” for her inability to shift into a wolf. She is forced to toil endlessly for her kin. Desperate to secure alliance gold to pay off family debts, her mother compels her to take her younger sister’s place — the sister refuses the match — and marry Damon, the ruthless new Alpha of the Blackwood Pack. Ava steps into Blackwood Lodge in despair, yet unexpectedly wins the affection of Damon’s mother, Martha. The cold‑hearted Damon is also gradually moved by her resilience as they spend time together. Hidden deep within Ava flows the Moon‑Blessed Luna Blood, a power that begins to revive the fading wolf pack. Her parasitic birth family comes crawling back once more, and her jealous younger sister attempts to seduce Damon. This time, Ava refuses to back down. With the support of Martha and Damon, she severs all ties with the Reed family. What was once feared as a den of wolves ultimately becomes her true home.
