Six years ago, Reed Carlisle, the secret power behind Apex Group and known as Mr. Big, was ambushed and poisoned at Saint Laurent Hotel. In a mistaken memory, he believed Selena Voss was the woman who saved him, so he quietly supported her career for years. But when Selena finally rose to fame, she cruelly dumped Reed and mocked him as nothing more than a lowly valet parker. On the same night, Reed rescued Vera Monroe and her young daughter, Lia Monroe, from Damian Thorne’s forced marriage scheme. To avoid being trapped by the Thorne family, Vera impulsively proposed marriage, and Reed accepted. As their fake marriage slowly turned real, Reed protected Vera and Lia in secret, using Apex’s vast resources to crush Thorne’s attacks, expose Selena’s lies, and help Vera fight back in the fashion world. As the truth unfolded, Reed discovered that the real woman who saved him six years ago was Vera all along. In the end, Damian and Selena were brought down, Reed formally proposed to Vera, and the family of three finally found their happy ending.
