Nurse Chloe is about to marry her fiancé Adam when Lorenzo Leone—the ruthless mafia boss she once saved in a bar restroom—crashes her wedding and takes her away. He offers a bet: live with him for three months. If he can make her fall in love with him, they marry. If he loses, he disappears forever. Chloe has no choice but to agree. Lorenzo is cold and obsessive, haunted by a tragic childhood—abandoned by his mother, his pet dog killed by his father—leaving him terrified of abandonment. As they live together, Chloe resists his control but glimpses his vulnerability and begins to waver. Meanwhile, her gentle fiancé Adam is the real villain: a drug addict who murdered Chloe’s mother years ago in an unsolved cold case. Jealous and vengeful, Adam frames Lorenzo for the murder. Deceived by false evidence, a grieving Chloe stabs Lorenzo. The truth emerges: Adam is the killer, and he even tries to murder Chloe’s father. Lorenzo survives. Adam is arrested. After countless hardships, Chloe lets go of her prejudices and sees Lorenzo’s true love. Lorenzo is ready to leave his criminal past behind. Her father finally accepts him, and they find their happy ending.
