In a storm-battered border town, thunder booms. Single mom Lynn has nowhere to leave her feverish six-year-old, Dolly, so she's forced to bring the little girl to a business meeting. When Dolly accidentally spills milk, the cold, arrogant Villa flies into a rage. She loathes children and hurls cruel insults, even taunting Dolly over her dead father. As thunder rattles the windows, Villa corners and shoves the terrified child. Dolly loses her balance, crashes through the third-floor railing, and plummets straight onto Villa's luxury black car. The sharp hood ornament impales her; blood and rain streak down the vehicle as Dolly clings to life by a thread. But Villa's first reaction when she rushes to the window? She screams over her wrecked car, completely ignoring the dying child below. Shattered by grief, Lynn sinks into utter despair. A petty spat, fueled by pure malice, spirals into an unthinkable tragedy. In this world of cold-hearted indifference, who will pay the ultimate price?
